I’m Kevin Hayward, a Chartered Building Services Engineer with around 20 years’ experience in the construction industry. Based in Staffordshire, I support clients across the UK with building services design, surveys and practical technical advice.
 

My work includes helping clients understand existing systems, assess options, prepare for tender and develop designs for installation. I bring engineering knowledge and commercial awareness to each project, with attention to how the services will be installed, operated and maintained.

Good engineering starts with understanding the building and what the client needs. I take time to ask questions, investigate the existing services and identify the constraints before recommending a way forward.

I focus on clear drawings, considered specifications and advice that people can act on. I flag missing information, explain assumptions and raise potential problems early, so the project team can make informed decisions.

When you appoint me, you deal directly with the engineer doing the work. I agree a clear scope, communicate plainly and take responsibility for delivering what we have agreed.
